Welcome to the Chase Bridge website!

We are delighted to welcome you to the Chase Bridge website. Our school first opened in 1953. Today, we are a three-form entry Community Primary School and nursery in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, with about 680 pupils. Our school is a fantastic place to learn, achieve and thrive.  With excellent teaching and an engaging curriculum, we are committed to help every child excel and reach their potential – academically and socially.  For up-to-date news about the school, look on our Facebook page and for recent letters about our plans for re-opening and other important information look in our Newsletters section.  We also have a virtual school tour video which can be viewed here.

All About Us

We are proud of our spacious site with its modern facilities, superb resources and happy, purposeful atmosphere. We offer a 60 place Nursery and three forms of entry in each year group. Outside, our large field enables children to take part in a wide range of sports and play with friends. Excellence in PE, sports, music and the arts are particular strengths of the school. Children enjoy gardening and growing our own produce in our 'Edible Playground',

For working parents, a breakfast club and after-school childcare service is operated by the school. In addition, we also have holiday childcare which is provided by our experienced holiday camp partner.

We welcome all children – no matter what their individual needs – and strive to include them with additional support in all areas of the curriculum. We aim for every child to make progress whatever their starting point or background.

All children are encouraged to walk, scooter or cycle to school. Cycle shelters and scooter parks are provided on site.

Welcome!

Chase Bridge is a special place. I am proud to be the new Headteacher and to have the opportunity to work with our dedicated staff and governors, supportive parents, and of course, fantastic children.

At Chase Bridge our vision is for children to excel at learning, express their talents and care for others. We have high expectations for everything we do, especially how we behave towards others. One of our most fundamental principles is that intelligence and ability are not fixed. Instead, we believe that ‘practise makes progress’ and if children learn skills such as resilience, reflectiveness, teamwork and empathy, they can achieve anything. We expect all members of the school community - children, staff, parents and governors - to support each other and work together in partnership to maintain our high standards and keep Chase Bridge a happy, vibrant environment.
