Admissions

Guidance on admission arrangements for academic year 2021 - 2022 is available here. The latest admissions brochure for Richmond primary schools is not yet available, however you can view the last version here. Information on how places have been allocated at community infant, junior and primary schools in the last three years can be viewed here.

Nursery Admissions

Children are eligible to join the Nursery at the beginning of the autumn term (September) following their third birthday. If a space becomes available during the year we will offer to the waiting list but parents should be aware that we have no guaranteed intake other than in September.

Our admissions criteria follow those operated by Richmond Local Authority. Places are offered in this order:

1. 'Looked After' children

2. Children with a 'Statement'

3. Children who have siblings in the school

4. Proximity of home to the Nursery

Applications for September should be received by the closing date as published by Richmond Local Authority. Offers will be made in May.

Entry to the Nursery does not give you a right of entry to the School. You must apply through your local borough for your child to join the Reception year.

Please download the form below or contact us on 020 8892 1242. Click here for a useful guide to nursery education in Richmond borough schools.

Reception Admissions

Chase Bridge Primary School is maintained by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and follows its policy on admissions. The school is open to any child in the age range of 4+ to 11. Please contact your local authority, Richmond or Hounslow, for further information.

As the school is often oversubscribed, it is not possible to guarantee a place to all applicants. If you are unsuccessful in gaining a place for your child, you may appeal the decision of the admissions authority. Please click here for more information regarding appeals and the appeal deadline.

Parents with young children should refer to Richmond’s official guidance notes on starting school. Once you have been offered a place for your child to start at Chase Bridge, you will be invited to visit for a New Parents' evening and will also be offered a home visit in September before your child starts school. If at any time you have any questions, however small they may seem to you, please do call the school office.

Children admitted to the Reception year are given opportunities to visit before they start school. During these times they are able to familiarise themselves with their surroundings and get to know their teachers.

The school endeavours to ensure that children with disabilities can be admitted and play as full a part in school life as possible. The school governors have approved a disability access plan and policy. There are ramps at all entrances, three disabled toilets and a soundfield system in the hall.

In Year Admissions

Chase Bridge Primary School is maintained by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and follows its policy on admissions. The school is open to any child in the age range of 4+ to 11. Please contact Richmond Local Authority for further information.

Secondary Appeals

If your child has been refused a place at one of your preferred secondary schools, you may appeal the decision of the admissions authority. Your reasons for appealing will then be considered by an independent panel. Please click here for more information regarding appeals and the appeal deadline.
