School Lunches

Our school meals, provided by Caterlink, are cooked in our state of the art school kitchen with fresh ingredients and a salad bar. Please click here for the current menu. Caterlink can provide individualised menus for children who have medical conditions - please ask the School Office for more details.

Children in the junior years can bring in a packed lunch if they would like to. It is important that it is suitable and will give them the energy to work and play in the afternoon! Please look at our healthy eating in school leaflet which provides guidance on packed lunches.

Children are permitted to have break time snacks but this is restricted to fresh fruit. We believe that this policy is also in the interest of dental hygiene and healthy diet.

Healthy eating in school

We have children in school who suffer from severe allergies to different foods, particularly nuts. Nut based foods are not allowed in packed lunches or indeed brought onto the school site.  Although we recognise that this cannot be guaranteed, we aim to be a Nut-Free school.

In September 2014 the government introduced Universal infant Free School Meals (UiFSM) for all children in Reception, year 1 and year 2. If you have financial difficulties and your child is in years 3-6, your child may be eligible for free school meals. Application forms for free school meals are available on the right of this page, from the School Office or the Education Department. Children who are eligible for free school meals attract Pupil Premium Grant funding and may in turn also be entitled to financial help with other areas of school life including clubs and school trips and visits - read more information .
