Curriculum
Our curriculum is underpinned by our core values: Excel at learning; Express your talents; Care for others.
We offer an exceptional curriculum for all our children that is both broad and balanced. It promotes the academic as well as spiritual, moral, cultural and physical development of the children preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of later life. Carefully sequenced units of learning equip children with a range of skills in all subjects and ensure learning is embedded through purposeful opportunities. Our learning experiences aim to develop long term, memorable knowledge, concepts and skills through carefully sequenced learning throughout their time here at Chase Bridge. This is because we know that long term, deeper knowledge grows when links are made between concepts, which build on prior knowledge and are applied in different contexts. As the children progress through the school, the skills and techniques develop with them and are built upon year upon year.
We aim to teach children how to grow into positive, responsible people, who can work and co-operate with others, whilst developing their knowledge, skills and attitudes to learning - we believe this helps all pupils to achieve their true potential.
Subject Road Maps
Please see below for our curriculum ‘Road Maps’ which details the core learning for each subject and how this progresses from EYFS all the way to Year 6. These can be used to help how your support your child throughout their learning journey: regular recall helps to strengthen their memory and recall information from their learning, leading to deeper learning and understanding.

Music Development Plan
At Chase Bridge Primary School, we believe that music is a vital part of every child’s education. It fosters creativity, confidence, and collaboration, enriching both academic learning and personal development. Our Music Development Plan outlines how we deliver high-quality music education through curriculum lessons, co-curricular activities, and diverse musical experiences.
From weekly music lessons and singing assemblies to instrumental tuition and performance opportunities, our aim is to inspire a lifelong love of music in every pupil. We are proud of our partnerships with the Richmond Music Trust and other organisations, which help us provide expert tuition and exciting opportunities, such as performing at Twickenham Stadium and the O2 Arena.
Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding our provision, introducing new instrumental options, launching additional ensembles, and competing in local and national music competitions. Our goal is to ensure that all pupils, regardless of background, can access and enjoy a rich musical education.
This plan reflects our dedication to making music an integral and joyful part of school life. Click here to view our full plan for 2024-2026

Reviewing Our RSE Policy 2024 – What We’ve Done
At Chase Bridge, we have recently reviewed our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) policy, curriculum content, and resources to ensure they continue to support our pupils' development in line with statutory requirements.
As part of this process, we held a coffee morning to meet with parents, share our approach, and listen to your views. We appreciate the valuable feedback we received and are pleased to announce that our updated RSE policy is now in place.
Our RSE curriculum is delivered through PSHE lessons, discussions, and assemblies, using the Jigsaw programme’s structured themes. Below, you will find key information, including:
We are committed to open communication and welcome any further questions or feedback. If you would like to get in touch, please email info@chasebridge.richmond.sch.uk and mark your email for the attention of the PSHE Lead.
