We started the new term off by being creative: putting our artistic skills to the test. As a link to our science unit on evolution and our reading book called Skellig (where a girl called Mina is fascinated by owls) we created some very impressive owl sculptures.

To begin with we enjoyed sketching parts of an owl: the wings, feathers and head.   This then helped us with the shape and sizes to create a clay model. We also liked creating and designing the clay any way we wanted! Every one made a unique looking owl.

Did you know a group of owls is called a Parliament of Owls!
