Our topic this half term is ‘Life and The Environment’.  We are learning about the impact humans have on the planet and what we can do to help make our planet a better place. We have learnt that ‘EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS’.

Our pledge in 4K is: REUSE, REDUCE and RECYCLE

 

We have learnt lots of facts. Did you know?

• Sir David Attenborough is 95 years old and has made over 100 ground breaking, natural history documentaries.
• Each Christmas the UK throws away 83 square km of wrapping paper?
• One third of all food is wasted.
• Single use plastic accounts for half of the plastic thrown away.
• 32% ends up in the oceans.

What we can do to make a difference:

• Reduce the use of plastic.
• Buy things that can be used again.
• Choose items with recyclable packaging.
• Recycle whenever possible.
• Use less energy-TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!
